  Mombasa, Kenya

The intricate seaport of Mombasa is actually an island with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.  In the heart of this fast growing city lies Old Mombasa with its mosques and typical houses gently following the road to the once bustling harbor.

  Zanzibar, Tanzania

It was from here that explorer David Livingstone set off on his expedition into the heart of Africa.  While sightseeing, sense the history of this remarkable place, in the carved doors in the old city, the towering Arab palace on the sea and the cathedral that now stands on the site of notorious Zanzibar slave market.

  Nosy Komba, Madagascar

The rare black lemur lemurs eat bananas right from your hand in this island preserve located between the "perfume island" Nosy Be and the mainland of Madagascar.  Fishermen's huts dot this friendly island village, where you can browse for local handicrafts.  Afterwards, swim or relax on the beach.

  Richard's Bay, South Africa

The history of this fast growing town began as a small harbor during the Anglo-Zulu War in 1879.  Enveloped by wetlands and beaches it became the home of game parks and bird sanctuaries.

  Durban, South Africa

A major gateway to Africa is blessed with lush vegetation.  Durban also boasts fantastic beaches with a view of the Indian Ocean.  The influences of Asian, Zulu, English Colonial and Afrikaans is reflected in its interesting architecture.

  Port Elizabeth, South Africa

Port Elizabeth, set along the beautiful shores of Algoa Bay, is the gateway to Saout Africa's famous Garden District.  The city offers long golden beaches and a historic heritage.

  Cape Town, South Africa

The mother city has welcomed sailors since Portuguese navigator's first rounded the Cape of Good Hope in the 15th century.  Take a cable-car ride to the summit of massive, flat-topped Table Mountain, the city's dominating landmark, for a panoramic view of Cape Town from 3,300 feet.  Take a day tour to the Cape of Good Hope or rent a car and travel the garden district.
