Fairbanks, Alaska, a city well known
for its pioneer spirit, is fast becoming recognized the world over as
having "the best seat in the house" when it comes to viewing the elusive
aurora borealis, or northern
lights. Fairbanks’s proximity to the
north magnetic pole and Alaska’s crystal-clear
nights make for excellent viewing conditions
for the lights — which range in color from white or yellow-green to red,
purple, and blue. |
