    11-day Yangtze River Cruise, Guilin & Xi'an
  July 23-August
  Day 1   Thu, July 23, 2009                                                                             B/D
Shanghai - Wuhan
  Today you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Wuhan. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for relaxation. Enjoy the rest of the day for leisure. Stay overnight in Wuhan.  
  Day 2   Fri, July 24                                                                                        B/L/D
Yangtze River Cruise
  Today you will tour the famed the Yellow Crane Pavilion to enjoy its history and culture while having a bird's eye view of the Yangtze River and the city of Wuhan. The Yellow Crane Pavilion was visited by poets and scholars in Chinese history, inspiring many popular poems. You will also visit the Hubei Provincial Museum of History, which houses the famous ancient bell museum. After dinner, you will be transferred to the pier on the Yangtze to embark on the 5-night China Regal Cruise. Spend the night aboard the ship.

Yangtze River Cruise
  Cruising all day, you’ll enjoy the passing scenery, along with fine dining, a river briefing, and cultural programs on board. 
 Day 4   Sun, July 26                                                                                      B/L/D
Yangtze River Cruise: Gezhou Dam, Xiling Gorge & Maoping
  Pass through the Gezhou Dam Ship Lock and enter Xiling Gorge. Around noon time, the cruise ship will pass through the five level shiplocks of the well-known Three Gorges Dam, which offers you the unique opportunity to experience the grandeur of the world’s biggest dam project. After lunch, you will visit the Three Gorges Dam Project Site. Continue sailing in the afternoon through the Xiling Gorge.  
  Day 5   Mon, July 27                                                                                     B/L/D
Yangtze River Cruise: Wu Gorge, Wushan, Badong and Qutang Gorge
  Pass through the Wu Gorge early in the morning en route to Wushan. Upon arrival in Badong, we will be transferred to a small pea-boat for Shennong Stream Drifting to experience the breathtaking scenery. Return to the ship and pass through the Qutang Gorge in the late afternoon.  
  Day 6   Tue, July 28                                                                                      B/L/D
Yangtze River Cruise: WanXi'an Three Gorges Bridge
  Sail to WanXi'an and go ashore to visit the Three Gorges Museum, attend the acrobatic show, and sightsee other points of interest. Continue sailing for Chongqing. 
  Day 7   Wed, July 29                                                                                     B/L/D
Chongqing - Guilin
  Arrive in Chongqing in the morning and disembark, followed by a city tour and visit to the Stilwell Museum. You will then fly to Guilin, famous for its picturesque limestone peaks and rivers. Upon arrival in Guilin, you will visit the Elephant Trunk Hill and the Reed Flute Cave, a fairyland of limestone known as the “art gallery of nature”. 
  Day 8   Thu, July 30                                                                                      B/L/D
  Today you will take a relaxing cruise on the Li River to enjoy the haunting beauty of the mist-wrapped monolithic peaks along the riverbanks. Stroll around the little town of Yangshuo and practice your bargaining skill with the local vendors. This evening you will enjoy a very impressive grand folklore dance performance accompanied with light and sound on Li River before returning to the hotel. 
  Day 9   Fri, July 31                                                                                       B/L/D
Guilin - Xi'an
  Today we will take a flight to Xi'an, the ancient capital city for 11 dynasties in Chinese history. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda upon arrival in Xi'an. Enjoy a dumpling dinner banquet, followed by an on-stage show of Tang Dynasty dance and music. 
  Day 10  Sat, Aug 1                                                                                        B/L/D
Xi'an and the Terracotta Warriors
  After breakfast, visit the Tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang and see the awesome Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses, widely regarded as the eighth wonder of the world. After lunch, visit the well-preserved city wall. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. 
  Day 11  Sat, Aug 2                                                                                         B
Xi'an - Onward
  After breakfast, take a departure transfer to the airport for your flight onward. 
  Program 3 - Yangtze River Cruise, Guilin & Xi'an Add-On Pricing: 
  Standard Stateroom:  $2450 per person, based on double occupancy. Add $900 for single occupancy supplement. 
  Suite Stateroom:  $3150 per person, based on double occupancy. Add $1700 for single occupancy supplement. 
  Pricing is based on a November 2007 exchange rate of 7.42 RMB (China Yuan Renminbi) to $1 USD. At the time of final payment if the exchange rate changes in either direction by more than 5% from the current rate, pricing will be adjusted accordingly. 
  Trip includes: 
  • 9 nights standard accommodations aboard ship or at 5-star hotels
  • Shore excursions
  • Meals as noted in itinerary
  • English speaking local guides
  • All admissions
  • Transfers, bus transportation and flights Shanghai/Wuhan and Chongqing/Guilin/Xian
  Payment Terms: 
  Balance is due with final eclipse tour payment on March 16, 2009. Cancellations prior to March 16, 2009, subject to a $50 per person fee. No refunds after March 16, 2009.
