  Payments and Terms 

     
 
Trip Cost:
 
    

9-Day Beijing & Shanghai:
$2840 USD per person, double occupancy. Add $800 USD for single occupancy.

6-Day Shanghai

$2230 USD per person, double occupancy. Add $600 USD for single occupancy.

Pricing is based on a November 2007 exchange rate of 7.42 RMB (China Yuan Renminbi) to $1 USD. At the time of final payment if the exchange rate changes in either direction by more than 5% from the current rate, pricing will be adjusted accordingly.
    
 
Trip includes:
 
     
 
  • 5-star hotel accommodations, including local service charge and tax.
  • Airport-hotel transfers for those arriving and departing the dates of the tour.
  • Baggage handling at all hotels.
  • Breakfast daily, lunches and dinners as noted in the itinerary, including special Peking Duck dinner and farewell dinner.
  • Beverages with lunches/dinners: Your choice of one soft drink, water or beer.
  • Services of a bilingual Chinese Tour Manager who will accompany the group throughout the tour.
  • English-speaking local guides throughout the tour
  • Pre-eclipse briefing and special Eclipse Day arrangements.
  • All sightseeing and excursions including entrance fees per the itinerary.
  • All transportation per the itinerary using private air-conditioned motorcoach.
  • One-way flight from Beijing to Shanghai (9-Day Tour only).
  • Bottled/purified water provided on buses.
  • All gratuities to tour managers, local guides and drivers.
 
    
 
Not Included:
 
     
 
  • International airfare to and from China.
  • China visa fee (approximately $150 USD).
  • All items not expressly listed above - including but not limited to: food or beverages not included with group meals; trip medical/cancellation insurance; items of a personal nature such as laundry, telephone expense, excess baggage fees, etc.
 
     
 
Pricing & Terms:
 
    
  A $1500 per person advance payment (payable by MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express, or by check drawn on a US bank) along with a completed reservation form, confirms your space. The balance is due March 16, 2009.  From September 26 to March 16, 2009, there will be a $750 per person cancellation fee. There are no refunds after March 16, 2009. Air cancellation terms are additional.

We highly recommend that all travelers obtain Trip Medical/Cancellation Insurance.  Application forms will be provided with initial invoice, or you can sign-up online by pressing the Travelex button below

  Weather. . .  
     
  In July, average daytime temperatures will be around 90F/31C in Beijing & Shanghai with moderate to high humidity. Nights will be around 75/24C. Rain is likely in both cities. Keep in mind that these are averages, and extreme conditions could change these temperatures.  
     
 
 
 
 

  Air Travel & Optional Add-On Packages

 
     
  The flight between Beijing and Shanghai is included in the cost of the 9-Day Beijing & Shanghai Eclipse Tour only. International airfare to China is not included in the cost of either tour. In Fall 2008, TravelQuest will provide contact information for an air-ticketing travel agency familiar with these tours. They will assist with your travel needs at that time, or you may book your flights on your own.
