  JAY ANDERSON’S ECLIPSE WEATHER PROSPECTS

The lowest mean cloud cover along entire 2009 eclipse track is 46%. The mean cloud cover at our approximate eclipse viewing location is 50%. The ship will give a 5 to 10 percent advantage because of its mobility. The location’s lower humidity compared to mainland China is also a plus.
Eclipse begins with the Sun at 21° degrees above the horizon. Totality occurs with the Sun 7.5° above the horizon. The Sun will be 27% eclipsed at sunset, and the spectacular photos should not be missed.
