The words Sahara Desert evoke images of magic, mystery and
intrigue. One of the most harsh, dry and desolate places on earth, the
Sahara is also a land of life – stunning oases, lakes, and huge groves of
date palms in remote areas. Deep within the vastness of the North African
Plateau are mountain ranges where we will see ancient rock art – both
paintings and carvings. Over 7 days we will travel by 4x4 to remote areas
of the Libyan Sahara, camp in beautiful desert settings each night, meet
native Taureg people, and see some of the most stunning rock art in the
world. |
